MET RETREAT APPRECIATION
Wow! That is all I can say! I was
completely blown away by the wonderful week I
had just basking in God's love through the
people running the retreat, and the people in
the area churches that just blessed the 28 of us
on the retreat from all over the world! B. in

The first part of this year has been a bit
frustrating for me.
I found my thoughts running away from me
and had to use a lot of energy to keep focused
even though things were not working out. Only
thing that did keep me going was the Single
Missionary Retreat I was and have since
attended.
It was from the 8 to 15 of March in Hermanus, South Africa.
As soon as we arrived in Cape Town airport the blessing began to flow.
A wonderful lady called
Christi
picked us up.
She drove us to Hermanus along the coast.
We stopped to have a picnic on the beach, then
tea and cake before arriving at Volmoed Retreat
Centre where we were warmly and lovely received.
The blessings continued through out the
Retreat.
Different churches from
USA, Canada and
locally blessed us with different gifts.
I have never been so spoiled.
The teaching and meditation during the
Retreat was on the Beatitudes (Matthew 5v3-10) and how to apply it to my life.
I received a new understanding of the
Beatitudes and a breakthrough.

I want to tell you that up to now I am still swimming in the river
that gushed to me from the MET conference, telling the truth, I was
revived than never before, God renewed and really retreated me in
such a way that I cannot explain. As I said it, I concentrated a lot
on the field and took years before I attended to my soul. One of the
things that God was keeping on whispering to me there through words,
the love and care that I was shown there with different people was
that “He loves me”, that sank very deep in me.
It was a long time that I have ever heard the
word of God touching me like that and till now I
still feel the difference when I read it; to me
it seems there is something like a cover that
has been removed from my heart and now there is
a certain part that can be reached and touched
by God and His word. Everything was just special
to me at that place; it seemed the whole place
was saturated with His presence.
From the depth of my heart I say thank you Jan and Mintie, together with the people who sponsored
us for this retread, I am different
through that MET conference.

Thank you once more for inviting me to the retreat. It is one
of the highlights of my life as a missionary. To be part of a
Christian
Retreat / Conference which I did
not have to organize, or be responsible for was certainly a gift
from my Heavenly Father. The message on "Meditation" spoke directly
into my life. Since returning to the office, I have been
working towards not having a "Quiet Time", but a lifestyle of "Quiet
Times" with Father. It is such a joy to meet with Him each day,
spend time with Him and walk into the day knowing that He is walking
with me. Oh the Blessedness of knowing that I do not have to carry
any heavy yoke/cares, but I can continually cast my cares on Him and
learn from Him how to manage my day to day and long tern affairs in
the ministry. Once more thank you.

The retreat refreshed me in every way. I no longer think that God
has forgotten where I live!!!

Thank you for all your love, care and
ministry. I appreciate you so much, you are very special sisters.
The retreat was a blessing too but at the end I was still waiting
for the Lord to break through. The day after my return a battle of
many years was won.
The word 'retreat' was definitely very applicable. Re meaning about
or again and treat speaks for itself. It was certainly about
'treats' again and again!

I really would
like to thank you everything you've shared to me and the experience
I had while I was there. The Lord purposed it for me to be
there and He does know what He is doing. He did give me a time
of rest and renewal with Him. I have learned a lot from the
Lord and from the both of you. One thing I have learned from
Him is for me "to let go and let God" deal with the situation that I
was in before for me to really completely be healed from the
experiences in the past and move on to greater things He has in
store for me. Praise be to God!
Thanks for the
encouragement and the love you shown to me and all the others.
